COVID-19 POLICIES
We are excited to welcome our partners back to work at Flash Studio. We continue to keep a close eye on health and safety guidelines and industry recommendations, and have implemented new policies and procedures to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 on any productions at Flash Studio.
In addition to adhering to these new policies, each person entering our studio will be required to sign a Covid-19 Waiver.
Our Part
Sanitized Studio
We sanitize high-touch surfaces prior to each studio rental (countertops, tables, sinks, bathrooms, door handles, etc). Rental equipment is sanitized after each rental.
Quarantine Days
When possible, we will stagger studio rental days to provide a 24-hour quarantine period between each studio rental, further reducing the risk of virus transmission.
Hand Soap
We provide hand soap and single use paper towels at each sink. Please encourage your crew to utilize these frequently throughout your shoot and before and after each meal break.
Covid-19 Signage
We have Covid-19 related signage posted throughout the studio to promote and remind your crew of best practices.
Limited Interaction
We will pull your rental equipment prior to your arrival and our staff will remain in the back office as much as possible unless needed.
Reduced Amenities
On the recommendation of health officials, our coffee machines, reusable plates and glasses, and kitchen appliances will no longer be available.
Your Part
Health Checks
Perform a health check on your crew before entering the studio. If any member of your crew is experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, or has had contact with anyone with symptoms, do not allow them on set.
Limit Crew Size
Limit your crew to essential personnel only and encourage those who don't need to be on set to work remotely. Utilize screen sharing and live streaming. No more than 10 people on set at any given time.
Physical Distance
Stay at least 6ft apart from others. Consider assigning studio areas to specific crew members and marking them — use gaffe tape to identity an area specifically for the digital tech, stylist, etc.
Health Officer
Appoint one member of your crew to be your health and safety officer, whose role will be to remind the crew of Covid-19 safety protocols and enforce them. This person does not need to be a healthcare professional.
Provide PPE
Provide everyone on your crew with appropriate PPE (masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, etc). We do our best to keep the studio sanitized, but it is your responsibility to ensure your crew is protected throughout the shoot.
Stagger Times
Consider staggering arrival, break, and wrap times to avoid congestion at entrances and promote physical distancing. Stagger meal times to limit the number of people not wearing a mask at the same time.
Additional Covid-19 Resources
A Note on Insurance
We have always required productions to provide a certificate of insurance showing both general liability coverage as well as worker's compensation. It is more important than ever that we stress that each and every member of your production needs to be covered under such policies. If you are classifying crew as independent contractors, we will need to be provided with certificates of insurance for both their general liability and worker's comp policies before allowing entry to the studio.
